Seçkin instituted specialized work groups both in practice and in academia. He worked as a computational design specialist in several architectural design offices such as Midek, KHORA Office, Çinici Architects, and KOOP. Since 2020, he has produced collaborative, interdisciplinary, research-based design projects around Turkey, under his own label, Maden Design Studio.
Since 2010, he has been an instructor in the 2nd year and Basic Design studios, and a lecturer in Design Geometry and Design Computing courses at Istanbul Bilgi University, School of Architecture.
Seçkin's research has been published in Leonardo Journal (MIT Press, US, 2021), Generative Art Conference Proceedings (Milano, 2020), and MSTAS (Özyeğin University, 2015). Some of his works have been exhibited in Galerie Michel Journiac (Paris, 2023), Cité Internationale des Arts (Paris, 2022), Sónar (Istanbul, 2019), Cer Modern (Ankara, 2018, 2023), TAK Kadıköy (Istanbul, 2016), and Salt Gallery (Istanbul, 2012). He conducted many computational design workshops around Turkey. He has been an invited design critic at Bilgi University, Istanbul Technical University, and Gebze Technical University.
Seçkin is an architect, academician, and programmer, who has expertise in architectural design, computational geometry, fabrication technologies, non-standard audio-visual design, photo-realistic visualization, and animation.
